Barbara Brackman adapted the pattern from an old Farm Journal design and asked Jean to make it up in an assortment of 1930s' reproduction fabrics from her Moda collections and others. Pam machine quilted it in an old-fashioned grid design. The quilt is the model for a pattern in Barbara's Making History: Quilts & Fabric from 1890-1970 and is pictured on the back cover.
