BlockBase (software from Electric Quilt)
Just the other day my friend Shirley wanted to copy an old Civil-War-era block.
She said "I'm going to draw this up when I get some time."
I said "What??? Don't you have BlockBase?"
She'd never heard of BlockBase (She does live in the far west, but this is probably a failure in my marketing program rather than Shirley's rural location.)
I said: "We can find this in BlockBase and make a pattern in about five minutes. What size do you want it?"
As you can see it turned out nicely. She pieced it in the time it would have taken her to draw the pattern.
The CD-ROM Version of my Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns has thousands of designs published from 1836-1970 ready to print as patterns.
