Civil War Women
The book is designed to be not only a quilt pattern book of reproduction quilts from the Civil War years but a reference book for Civil War Re-Enactors. Each chapter offers creative activities related to the women's stories.
The quilt here, which I made, is a Union Cradle Quilt linked to the true story of Rachel Cormany, a Union Soldier's Wife. The activity suitable for a re-enactor is assisting soldiers in writing letters home.
