*Carrie Hall's Sampler

I selected my favorite designs featured in the 1935 classic book by Carrie Hall and Rose Kretsinger, The Romance of the Patchwork Quilt in America. The result is "Carrie Hall's Sampler," which combines traditional appliqué blocks and pieced accents into a stunning sampler. The updated quilt was a Block-of-the-Month quilt for the Kaw Valley Quilters Guild and the book features design interpretations stitched by guild members. The quilt is Nan Doljac's "Carrie Hall Falls For Hand-Dyeds."
