My Books

I don't sell my books, but below are links to the publishers who do sell them wholesale and retail. Ask your quilt shop to order those that are still in print. The out-of-print books are at the bottom of the list. You can usually find a copy used at an online bookseller. And I've been working with C&T Publishing to offer downloadable e-Book versions of some that are out-of-print. Our next venture is books printed on demand.

Karla Menaugh and I have a publishing company named Sunflower Pattern Co-operative. Quilter's Warehouse is an online source for pattern books available from Sunflower. And the Kansas City Star's Pickledish.com website also sells our Sunflower books. PickleDish.com

Karla and I are selling many of the models and samples we've made for our books. Click here to see Quilts For Sale.

Kansas Quilts & Quilters
Written with Jennie A. Chinn, Gayle R. Davis, Terry Thompson, Sara Reimer Farley, Nancy Hornback
The findings of the Kansas Quilt Project collected into a book that gives the history, not only of Kansas quilts, but of quiltmaking in general. The authors, each an expert in her field, focus on specific types of quilts and fabrics, such as red-and-green appliqué quilts and conversation prints; regional and ethnic quiltmaking communities, including Mennonites, African-Americans, and an unusually prolific and talented group of quilters in Emporia a half-century ago; plus present-day quilting groups.
Featuring 165 photographs, 68 in full-color, this volume is a visually rich mosaic that illuminates the enduring community of quiltmakers in Kansas and chronicles its relation to the historical and cultural heritage of the state. In print. From the University Press of Kansas, 1993.
